Case Study: Experience timeless magic...

Client: Caerhays Castle and Estate

Services: PR

More lost than the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Caerhays Castle is a stunning Scottish-esque castle, owned by the Williams family for generations, and sits high above a beautiful sandy Cornish beach. Famed for its national magnolia collection, rhododendrons and stunning Spring Gardens, Caerhays has been building its reputation as an events, holiday and wedding destination.

However, due to the diversity of its portfolio, Caerhays was struggling to tell its story and punch it weight against other offers in Cornwall. We led a brand marketing workshop with key players on the estate, where we identified Caerhays' unique audiences and brand values. An exciting process, we then jointly developed a shared vision and story for the brand - and a great roadmap to growing the business.

We now them build a profile for their gardens, luxury houses for hire, The Vean and Burncoose House, and holiday lets, so they're now regularly featured in the national press. We've also been supporting Burncoose Nurseries, which is one of Britain's most successful mail order businesses, featuring not only a wealth of plants, including a few Chelsea Gold winners, but also offers world class specialist expertise and knowledge.

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children

Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children was filmed on the Caerhays Castle Estate, bringing it's magic and mystery alive for a new generation of garden fans - and encouraging them to #staypeculiar.

We collaborated with the film company to make sure that Caerhays was at the centre of any comms about the film location, and kept the local press abreast of developments with the film.
