Dunster by Candlelight 7 & 8 December
A unique festive night with the stunning medieval village lit by candlelight. The event includes a firework display, stilt walkers, fire spinners, hog roast and live music. On Friday (7th) there is a Lantern Lighting Procession and on Saturday (8th) the Sutton Household Soldiers march through the village with flaming torches and Drums. The atmosphere is both traditional and exciting and WSR will be running trains into Dunster for anyone wanting to travel in style, or just avoid the stress of parking. All trains depart from Bishops Lydeard station only and stop at Dunster and Minehead Station only.
‘Fish and Chips seats’ are available as part of the 5pm service and a separate Quantock Belle Dining train leaves Bishops Lydeard at 5.20pm. Check website for varying prices, tickets from £10. Quantock Belle dinner train table for two - £140 and table for four - £260.00.

A LEGO Brick Trail, Plymouth City Centre, 3 December – 3 January
Get ready to be wowed as Britain’s Ocean City hosts a winter wonderland of immersive experiences for the whole family this Christmas. The magical festivities and events include an exciting new family trail in the city centre. Penguins: A LEGO brick trail will arrive in the city on 3 December for one month. Nineteen Rockhopper penguins and one Emperor penguin will be making their way to Plymouth for the Christmas period with the life size LEGO brick penguin sculptures taking residence across the city centre.
Search out all 20 and their names, using the trail cards, for the chance to win a weekend family break for four people to LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort or a Penguin Feeding Experience at Living Coasts for four people. Families can also get their hands on and build their own LEGO brick mini penguins at Plymouth Market every Saturday in December during the run-up to Christmas.
